Chatting online with Nebraska

I mentioned in my last post about chatting online with various PA programs online. There was one school in particular that I had some serious hesitation about. They had sent me an email a day or two earlier and said that they wanted to chat with me. I got online and chatted with schools in the morning session. I didn't feel comfortable chatting with the other school because it was a Catholic school. I knew that Catholic wasn't my chosen religion, so  I pondered all day if I should chat with them or not. Ultimately I decided to chat with them. I got back online for the evening session, and about 30 minutes before it closed I click on the chat room for College of Saint Mary.

I was able to chat with the advisor named Chuck. My very first question to him was, "Do you have to be Catholic to attend the school?" He said that it was a Catholic school, but students from all religions attended the school. My second question was, "Do you have to take religious classes?" He let me know that I would have to take two religious classes, but they had several classes to chose from, not just from the Catholic religion.

At this point I let down my guard and started getting serious. He asked about other classes that I had taken, and what my plans were. I told him that I had already graduated with one bachelor degree, but that I needed to take a few more classes to become a stronger candidate. He asked me to email him my unofficial transcripts, and told me that he would be in touch with me. At that point our 30 minutes were up, and I quickly found all my transcripts and sent them to him via email.

If you really know me, you would know that I am OCD about checking my emails. I seriously check them several times a day, at least 10 times, and even more when I am waiting for a reply. I sent my transcripts to Chuck, and checked my emails an hour later hoping there was a reply. Surprisingly, there was a reply that he had forwarded my transcripts to Shaun, the academic advisor, and told me that I would be hearing from Shaun the next day.

I then checked my email a few minutes later, and to my surprise I had an email from Shaun. His email said that he wanted to call and talk to me that night. I sent my phone number back in an email, and told him that I was available then or that he could call the next day if it was too late. At this point it was like 10:30pm in Utah, and I wasn't sure what time it was in Nebraska, but knew that it was a later time there. After sending my phone number I received a phone call within 5 minutes.
